"Rudy Giuliani, the most underqualified man to seek the presidency since George W. Bush, shouldn't be questioning the experience of anyone on this stage... There's only three things he says in a sentence: a noun, a verb, and 9/11." --Joe Biden

I agree with the quote, but I despise Biden so it's technically a quote from a hp.

I decided to run this poll after reading the post that is now in my signature.

Anyway Biden is right on here, so option 1 obviously.

I said FF.  Although GWB wasn't necessarily unqualified, especially if you compare him to people he ran against in the primary.

When I saw this in your signature, I wondered if you knew the reference.

I find Biden quite amusing, but he's a crazy, crazy man.

Although GWB wasn't necessarily unqualified, especially if you compare him to people he ran against in the primary.

McCain?  Lamar Alexander?

Alan Keyes, Gary Bauer, Steve Forbes.

Yeah, 'cause those guys were serious threats for the nomination.

When did I ever say that they were?  And Lamar Alexander wasn't exactly a serious threat either.

I was being facetious.  I suppose I should use emoticons more often.

But, seriously, Bush was unqualified compared to McCain and Alexander.  All of his priorities as governor were going to be pushed through by the state legislature anyway.

Considering that his powers were severely limited, and the lt. governor does all the heavy lifting in Austin, was Bush really much more qualified than Forbes?

Biden is a joke.  He's a caricature of everything people hate about politicians.  The only purpose he serves is to render President Obama impeachment-proof.

As for the quote in question, I don't think it's true.

So, HP.

Very true quote.  It is one thing to bring up 9/11 especially when you were the mayor of the city that was most impacted, and that is fine.  However, Giuliani became all 9/11, all the time.  That is all he was, the only thing he ever talked about.  It was as if he thought he was Mr 9/11 and became really sickening.

For the record, I find the first part of the quote to be untrue -- Biden's opinion that Rudy was underqualified.  I agree with Smash, however, that Rudy's 9/11-whoring was annoying.  I've always felt that Rudy has been given far too much credit for the recovery effort, and far too little of the blame.

Rudy certainly deserves some credit for 9/11, he did a good job in rallying people after.  However, he has gotten more credit than he deserves, and certain things such as the health and protections of those involved with the recovery effort he certainly he has really gotten a free pass on.  Rudy being the self appointed King of 9/11 is just down right irritating.

Yes, Bush was more qualified than Forbes.

Kindly elaborate.  I agree that Forbes was unqualified, but, in light of the above, what qualified Bush?  That he hung around his father's two campaigns and personally fired Sununu?  I don't see how sitting on your hands at the state capital makes you presidential material, hence the "much more" comment.

And there's no comparison to McCain or Alexander.
