Nation name is Nivose and electoral system is FPTP. Might write a larger history later.

Conservative (Election code - CO): Oldest party, formed in 1688 on the orders of the King. Originally an isolationist and pro-monarchist party, but after the revolution of 1746, became staunchly Republican. After the infamous Schism of 1893, the old Conservative party came worse off, and since then, with the exception of a short revival of sorts in the 1960s, has performed poorly at elections. These days, they stand as an anti-immigration, pro-temperance and anti-secularist party. Most support comes from the religious right and farmers.
Political Matrix score: S 8.2, E -0.6

New Conservative Party (Election code - NCO): Formed after the Schism of 1893, in which Jacques Spooner and 87 backbenchers rebelled over the paper excise duty. Stands as a sort of 'third party' today, after reaching the peak of it's power in the 1940s. Today, the NCO is less right wing than it was, being pro-environmental regulation, but still bitterly opposed to gay marriage and late term abortions.
Political matrix score: S 5.5, E 2.4

Liberal Party (Election code - LIB): Formed in 1697 to form an opposition to the Conservatives. Was at the forefront of the 1746 revolution and since then has been one of the parties most consistently in favour of constitutional reform. Economically, the party is pro-bimetallist, which sets it apart from most of the other pro-gold parties.
Political matrix score: S -6.3, E 6.5

Workers Party (Election code - WP): Formed in 1875, though only reached prominence in the 1910s. The party is the only one of the Big Three to support fiat currency, and also supports heavy nationalisation of industries, coupled with protective tariffs against foreign goods. Most support comes from working class and lower middle class.
Political matrix score: S -8.7, E -9.3

Angle Nationalist Party (Election code - ANP): Formed in 1904 after the creation of the Angle Parliament to campaign for further English-speaking rights. Since the 1960s, they have been pro-independence and have promised a referendum if they can win a majority in the Angle Parliament, though currently they are in coalition with the Workers Party in it.
Political matrix score: S -5.4, E -4.7

Nivosan Pride Party (Election code - NPP): Nationalist far-right party founded in 1921. Extremely anti-immigration and pro-nationalisation. Greatest sucess was in the 1970s, and they have declined since then, especially among Angle voters.
Political matrix score: S 9.1, E -8.6

Independent Liberal Party (Election code - ILIB): Formed in 1933. Similar to Liberal Party, but broke off over the issues of welfare and healthcare reform.
Political matrix score: S -8.7, E 5.4

Social Credit Party (Election code - SCRED): Formed in 1916. Supports a social credit economic ideology. Socially left wing.
Political matrix score: S-6.7, E -9.8

I hate all of them, but the Liberals appeal to me the most.

None of these would really work for me, but I'd probably go for the Worker's Party if pressed.
