I am currently the President of the Salisbury University Democrats, giving me a little bit of leeway in local politics, especially because of the upcoming reelection campaign for Congressman Frank Kratovil.  This past weekend I went and met Senator Barbara Mikulski and Comptroller Peter Franchot as the Senator's new office opening.  The SU Democrats are also getting involved with the local politics including work with Mayor Jim Ireton here and working on getting Delegate Jim Mathias elected to the State Senate to take over the seat of a retiring Republican.

Good for you, Hap! Good luck with Kratovil's re-election campaign. Any firm idea who the GOP candidate is likely to be?

From what I've heard Harris is likely to run again.  God I hope so, he is a lunatic.  A much stronger possible candidate is EJ Pipkin, one of the area's three State Senators.  He is considered to be quite a strong candidate, being very moderate and he ran against Mikulski in 2004 giving him a large amount of name recognition.
