Myeh. I'm glad Latham is gone, and I think beazley will be a slight improvement, but in all honesty i'd much prefer Rudd or Gillard, both of whom don't have the stigma of two losses to Howard...

I should point out, however, that Beazley is a very good choice in the short term, as he is from Western Australia. That state will have it's state elections in about a month (presumably) and the ALP government is trailing in the polls. Having a Western Australian as head of the federal party can only help Dr. Geoff Gallup's government!
