Yeah -she's definitely in:

Bachmann likely to announce in Iowa

By JONATHAN MARTIN | 5/26/11 9:22 PM EDT

DES MOINES – Hours after Sarah Palin announced a bus tour of the east coast that could presage a presidential campaign, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn) told reporters here that she was likely to announce a White House campaign next month in Waterloo, Iowa.

Bachmann, who spent much of her childhood in Waterloo, wouldn’t definitively say that she would launch a bid in the eastern Iowa city, but it was clear she was only holding back to sustain a measure of suspense for the actual event.

“The announcement will be made in Iowa, and it will be made in Waterloo and we’ll give you the date and the time,” she said via speaker phone to a room full of reporters in a hotel conference room here.

Couldn't you have waited 6 days to make this the "June Bachmann-is-in Thread?"

"Michele eyes Waterloo start"
http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0511/55816.html

The title says it all. Does she know what Napoleon's Waterloo was?

Makes sense. If my memory serves correct, I believe she was born and raised there.

Bachmann's trained herself to believe the opposite of what liberal history books say, so Waterloo is a term that means great victory. Wink

Seriously, where does the title say "Michele eyes Waterloo start?"

It said it on the main 2012 page, not in the article. My bad on that one.

Excellent. I just hope that between her, Cain, Santorum and maybe Palin the crazy people vote isn't split leading to Mittens pulling it off in the end.

I think the anti-Romney vote will materialize around one candidate. Whoever wins IA and SC. The loons may be split if IA and SC go for different people, but the conditions that can create a Tea Party winner in IA will be present in SC. Of all these people Bachmann is probably the best choice to win both convincingly.

YES! Best news I've heard all day. So who really will win the crazy teabagger vote amongst her, Palin, and Santorum?

Aside from entertainment purposes, I don't understand why any Democrat would be happy with this. You want Bachmann and Palin to run, right? You would love to see one of them as the nominee, right? This essentially ends any chance of that. If Santorum really doesn't have a shot at the nomination, his candidacy only further divides what you classify as the "crazy" vote, making him a spoiler and hurting Palin and Bachmann even more.

The way things are going, 2012 is going to either be a battle between Romney and Pawlenty or Romney and some undeclared force.

If she runs, then I hope Palin is right behind her. We could use some infighting and vote splitting amongst the tea party.
