How does Boehner's bill the House is passing today differ from the previous bill- Cut, Cap, and Balance?  Seriously, they sound like the same bill.

Boehner's bill contains the Joint-Congressional Bi-Partisan Committee to find additional savings. Anyone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe CCB contains that provision.

Also, Boehner's bill contains some random student aid provisions relating to eliminating subsidies for graduate student loans and shoring up Pell Grants. It also eliminates a student loan early repayment incentive of some sort.

In other words, it is largely the same bill, with only a few minor changes?

Why did they bother?  Seems a pointless exercise.

Not sure but I believe Cap, Cut and Balance wasted 5 days in a pointless exercise with like 20 left and the new bill only wasted 4 in a pointless exercise with 7 left.  Come to think of it, there may still be time to squeeze in another vote to repeal Obamacare.
