I see that there is a manipulation of the EVs on maps reflecting the 2024 and 2052 elections, is there a way that I am missing, on how you can change the allocation for each state's electoral vote as it changes, eg California has 56 in 2024, and 58 in 2052, how do you make the changes for each state? Is there a trick? Can anyone show and tell this newbie how its done and layman's terms to

You can change the numbers in the URL, albeit you must have made up at least 20 comments to post such a map.

Change the numbers in the URL? how do you do that? What do you do? Or the procedure step by step, I am a newbie, so in layman's terms, if somebody can to a step by step

1. Make your map here.

2. Click on: "Show Map Link"

3. Copy the map link, it should come up in another window.

4. Paste the map link in a reply.

5. At this point you should have the map code.

The middle number beside the state abbreviations is electoral votes. Change those to edit the map's electoral votes.

For example:

AL=2;9;6

That's the normal code for the state of Alabama. I can give Alabama five more electoral votes by doing this:

AL=2;14;6

Hope that helps,

Odysseus

Hi
In as much as you explained it very well, I have tried doing what you suggested, making a map, can't do it on site, you need a minimum of 20 posts, have tried doing on my own through a excel sheet, but I made map, brought up map link, copied map link, made the changes as per your directions, but ev change didn't occur, so what do I next? Trying to get new window for the URL code doesn't happen, so theoretically it probably happens, and for you it does, but not for this newbie, no. when 20 posts are credited, how do I actually copy a map into this part of site?
