I remember watching this a long time ago. Young(er) Ron Paul was apparently a lot more vicious. I really couldn't see him saying something like that today to anyone.

It's interesting to see someone who has spent decades in Congress, therefore collecting a check, making any statements like.

He refuses any benefits and is only one of two congresscritters to decline a congressional pension upon retirement.  Still not going far enough, but it's not like he's very wealthy or anything.

Young Ron Paul would be a pretty awesome presidential candidate, but reserved Older Ron Paul has his own charm.

Not Wealthy? Perhaps by Congressmen standards, but he bet heavy against our economy and did very well when the housing bubble collapsed. I believe he is worth somewhere around 5 million right now. Nor Romney-esque levels of wealth, but I would say that's "Wealthy."

Predicting the housing bubble can do that. Anyhow, most of his money (outside of that which he made as a doctor, which is a fairly high paying job) comes from investing in gold and silver.

I am still surprised he hasn't put out an aggressive ad about you know, predicting the this whole financial mess, based upon our general economic policy...

What we see is a man who lacks enough common sense to avoid insulting the questioner (thus showing the weakness in his argument) as well as no respect, who may very well be a racist who would drive this country into the ground if he came to power.

Because its own party was in power in the years leading to the mess...

The pro-drug anti-fat candidate has little hope in an America that doesn't want to admit it has both weight and drug problems.
