I'm a big time Giants fan and I would say on balance the Giants have a more liberal fan base due to being around New York City, one of the most liberal cities, where the Patriots fan base is in towns that voted for conservative Scott Brown.

New England is more liberal than the aggregate of New York's metro area + large parts of upstate New York.

Not even the older crowd that are fans of both teams? I wouldn't expect too much from either team fans when it comes to explaining  logic on politics.
