Feingold would've increased turnout better, so I think the election would have turned out very differently if he had ran.

What bawlexus said. Plus Feingold would have had a clear field, so no messy primary fight.

Probably would have made the race 50/50. Walker swung the rural parts of the state, and Feingold would have been an effective counterbalance against that swing.

According to two different polls from PPP, Feingold would have won easily if he had ran.

The first one had Barrett winning by 3 and the second had Walker winning by only 2. I'm not convinced.

I don't like Walker either, but the recall was a waste of time and money regardless of who was put up against him.

Who on earth would reference polls that were completely wrong?

There were no other polls of Feingold vs. Walker. Those are the only polls that were ever conducted of that scenario and thus the only evidence we have.

Feingold instead of Barrett might have helped but what really could have made the difference was waiting a few months and triggering the recall to coincide with the November election.
