Welcome to the Headquarters of the P.E.A.C.E. Party located in Rapid City, SD

As the election season starts up, I wanted to separate the P.E.A.C.E. Party thread from my own. This will allow for Atlasians to know that the party welcomes all members who wish to believe in what the Party stands for. We strive to be transparent and welcoming (notice the glass walls).
For those of you not familiar to what the Party stands for, the please continue reading

P.E.A.C.E. stands for:
P-Putting Atlasia First
E-Energy Security
A-Advancing Equality
C-Commonsense Governing
E-Electoral Reform
Let me explain in a little more detail each of the Letters

Putting Atlasia First - We wish to see the promotion of Made in Atlasia, and in general making sure that Atlasia can be self-sufficient.

Energy Security - We believe that we need to continue the march to becoming totally Energy Independent. We believe this can be achieved with Aggressive investment into Alternative Energies.

Advancing Equality - Continuing to help those less fortunate and to protect the rights of Minorities.

Commonsense Governing - A commitment to help decrease the needless partisanship and helping to improve legislation to make sure that our Governments can get to serving the people.

Electoral Reform - Support of the creation of a bi-cameral National Legislature, also, possible reform of the size or way we elect our regional governments.

The Party Currently is taking time to evaluate upcoming elections, recruiting members, and policy development.

I'm pretty committed to the Labor Party, so it's unlikely that I leave it anytime soon, but if I did, P.E.A.C.E. and the TPP would definitely be my top 2 preferences! I like your platform and I hope the party will be successful. Smiley

You have my full support if you opt to run for Althing in September or even Senate in October!

P.E.A.C.E. Party Press Release
Party seeks clarification on early closure of Debate
Rapid City, Vitality (South Dakota)

The Party was concerned today to wake up and find that the At-Large Senate Debate had been closed. We feel that this hinders the chance for Candidates especially minor party and independent candidates from adequately being able to speak. If a remedy is not brought soon, then the Party will look into forming another debate.

P.E.A.C.E. Party Membership Drive
The P.E.A.C.E. Party has received numerous statements of support from Atlasians across the political spectrum. We are thankful for these kind words. In the lead up to the election, we are announcing a membership drive. We ask members of parties to review whether the party they are a member of truly reflects their personal values, if it does, then fantastic! If it does not, we ask you to consider moving to the P.E.A.C.E. Party and help Make Atlasia Strong

We will of course provide more updates as the vote continues. So far our candidate is in! But we know that the votes are early and few.

Results Update!
Total Now: 22 (Last Vote: Averroes Nix)
Five Senators Elected based off these results:
Alfred F. Jones
LuminevonReuental
Polnut
JCL
Dr. Cynic

We are disappointed to find that these results would show GAworth out of contention. However, we are excited to see a majority of the seats going to candidates we endorsed. The election is still young.

6pm Update
Total Now: 40 (Last Vote: Homelycooking)
Five Senators Elected based off these results:
JCL
Polnut
Dr. Cynic
Alfred F. Jones
Deus Naturae

Homelycooking has allowed the 6 invalid votes to be considered as not cast and will allow them to recast their votes. This will favor Deus Naturae, JCL, and Bacon King if our interns are correct from last night.

Election results Update
Total Votes: 49 (Last Vote Counted: Devin)
Five Senators elected after this count are as follows:
Polnut
Dr. Cynic
Deus Naturae
JCL
LVR or AFJ (Based on FP alone, then LVR would win the last seat)

We have seen a uptick in supporters for BK, interesting to see if he could become a factor. Also, AFJ went from secure to threatened. At Midnight (11pm AT), we will provide a snapshot of who has been leading in each count.

Official P.E.A.C.E. Party Statement

The Atlasian nation is facing turmoil and upheaval right now. The P.E.A.C.E. is saddened, although not completely surprised, that the President has resigned. We thank him for his service. Moving to the most recent turmoil, we encourage Atlasian citizen's to stay inside tonight. We also do not support the break up of the nation in proposed separatists movements and only recognize the authority of Vice President Tyrion.
