Good morning fellow Atlasians,
Today, I have come to the center of our great nation to watch the sun rise on a new day in Atlasia, a day that will pass whilst we still have the memory of the election disaster fresh in our minds.
As I look out onto the prarie, I see what Atlasia is made of. We're made of strong bulls and giving soil, of a clear sun rising for every challenge to be faced in the open. There's also grass; but I can't think of an analogy for it. The clear blue sky reflects off the water, and that water links all parts of D5.
OK, let's be serious.
This week crisis brought out the best in many Atlasians, and people who usually wouldn't go near each other came together to solve the problem we faced. It got me to thinking that what we need is the same kind of willingness tyo work with everyone when there isn't a crisis, because we can get a lot donw. In the span of one, maybe two hours, we found a legal and fair solution to a problem none of us could every have foreseen.
As the sun rises today, it's important for the residents of District 5 and the whole of Atlasia to remember that each of us is a real person. None of us have devils horns, and most of us want to make Atlasia a better place. Whilst I hope I am elected, if not, I ask all the voters of Atlasia to keep working with all people, across all parties lines, to get the best solution to all problems we face, big or small.
I ask especially my opponent, Secretary King, on election night up to Portland. Whilst his supporters may not understand the limits of humour, I know he'll be happy to have a laugh with me whilst petting the cute little puppies in the Portland Pound. King's a good man, and whilst we don't agree on policy all the time, we do agree that District 5 will have good representation whomever of us wins (but i'd be better
).
So, Atlasians, from Maine to California, through ther heart of Kansas; and all over District 5 and the nation, remember that we all can serve, we all must serve, and we all should serve Atlasia in a fair, fun and polite way.
Thank you, and Dave bless.
(I'm off to watch a wheat farming session. Ah, it's the candidates life
)
