certain black people parties...   "Office for Civil Rights"

strange times we live in.  I never knew that there was an Office for Civil Rights, to be honest.

I actually give my son his lunch in a brown paper bag most days.  The technical term for the bag I use is a sleeve.  It's made to accommodate a 750-mL bottle.  I have lots of them, and they're free with a purchase.  My greatest fear was that folks would think that his father's a lush.  I had no idea it referred to the more acceptable color of a person's skin.

Whatever.  I'm a citizen.  My son's a citizen.  I put his lunch in a sleeve, which could also be called a brown bag, although I usually call it a sleeve.

My son also knows how to make a decent dry martini.  Now, lecture me about how politically incorrect it is that my 8yo knows how to make his dad a drink, bitches.

No, I just happened to have a brown box lying around and stuck my lunch in it. It could have been anything, really.

I think any true left winger should object against this, not the whole "brown bag" (who care one way or another), but the change from citizen to resident. To say people are citizens indicate that people are part of the community and have duties and rights derived from it, while if you say resident it indicate that people are not part of a community and do not derive any rights or duties from it. This is one more attempt by anti-communitarians to destroy solidarity and transform people from citizens to mindless consumers.
