I can see why this would be against school policy, but it's certainly not something to be charged over, especially when the guy probably didn't even realize he was breaking a rule.

More insight into the situation at the house is needed before commenting. 

Besides that... charges?  Really?  This is so indicative what is wrong with our justice system.  Any ordinance violation is not seen as a violation so much as it is seen as a dollar sign.  What money do you think this homeless teen has?  Why is the first reaction to charge him with a crime rather than, I don't know, HELP HIM?

Yeah, I don't understand why many "progressives" are so afraid to take that logical next step and instead convince themselves that moderate reforms will solve everything.
