Since State Attorney General Greg Abbott (R) is likely heading to the Texas Governor's Mansion when he takes office on January 20, 2015, he's going to be the first UT Longhorn since Dolph Briscoe (D) to occupy the governorship.

List of other Texas governors and Alma Maters:
Perry-Texas A&M: likely the ONLY Aggie in the Governor's Mansion after he leaves office.
Bush-Yale
Richards-Baylor
White-Baylor
Clements-SMU (dropped out)
Briscoe-UT
Smith-Texas Tech
Connally-UT
Daniel-Baylor

Interesting. Would Davis be the first TCU graduate? She should play that up whenever she visits campus.

What makes you think that TX will not send another Aggie to the Governor's Mansion?

He must be a Tech or UT alum.

Badgate, first off, I'm an alum of Baton Rouge Community College and my parents are Univ. of Alabama alums.

Second, you need to read my BIOGRAPHY on here before you speak.

As should we all, of course.

Or you could not respond like such a tool and just answer the rather innocent question posed, but whatever.....

Even if your biography was somehow relevant, it doesn't show up on your profile, so.....

On Texas A&M, I seriously don't see another Aggie in the Governor's Mansion anytime soon.

Based on people not liking Perry.

I don't see another Yale graduate going to the White House anytime soon, based on people not liking George W. Bush.
