Just saw an ad for the latest Sparks movie. Ugh.

In all fairness though Sparks doesn't really try, he just follows formula to put out crap middle aged housewives gobble up and make for good movies high school girls will go crazy over. Meyer actually tried...and failed miserably, so yeah, Meyer is worse.

Stephanie Meyer because of her pro-abstinence Mormon propaganda. I've never read Sparks but I don't think his books are explicitly Christian, though they're probably close to it.

There is nothing religious in Sparks books AFAIK. He just avoids very explicit sex scenes to retain a "clean" image so he can sell books to people with traditional moral. Its business, not faith.

I have read one when I tried to familiarize myself with how different formula writers do their stuff, and he is technically very good and has an efficient language. I think it was boring because its so obvious in its methods and "tricks", but he is very good at what he does.

Sparks looks like Balzac when compared to Meyer.

Sparks is very egotistical, but his love stories aren't about choosing between beastiality and nercrophillia, so Mayer.

Sparks had a really good idea for a love story in The Notebook. The problem is he remade it 15 times. Meyer has nothing good to her name.

Sparks looks like Balzac when compared to Meyer.
