I'm a little surprised that the results so far aren't closer.  While I definitely prefer Victoria, some people would find it too slow-paced and boring.

Victoria is probably my favorite place I've been to, though.  The food is good, the place is lush and green, mountains and water are right there, and there are lots of wild animals in the area.

Assuming I could afford it, Victoria.

However Las Vegas seems to have a ton of great opportunities for landlording, so perhaps I should move there to make my fortune then retire to Victoria.

One amusing/depressing comparison is that while the Victoria area elected Canada's only Green MP, Vegas has a casino that has a beam of light pointing straight up into the sky every night, and nobody recycles anything.  At all.

This is an almost alien concept to me.

It's almost as if Las Vegas is a giant middle finger pointed at the planet.

Victoria easily.  I've been to Las Vegas several times, and I think the place sucks.

Las Vegas sounds like an above-average place to be drunk and an unpleasant place to be sober.

Victoria isn't the most interesting place, but it's beautiful and seems a lot friendlier to human life (sorry Joe)

Las Vegas (Gambling Addict)

But the lack of recycling in the west is unbelievable.
