As it says on the tin; what, if it was up to you, should the US borrow law wise from Europe? A NHS style health care system, for example, would be a potential pick.

Health Care: Adoption of the German multi-payer model based upon granting government extensive powers to negotiate for lower prices.

Social market economy/workers' rights: Generally laws encouraging labour unions as well as higher minimum wage and paid vacation, sickness, family leave etc.

Abortion: Ideally the adoption of Ireland's strongly anti-abortion laws (with some modifications to ensure that women who have their lives threatened can obtain one quickly), if not at least the adoption of the Western European standard prohibiting abortion at the close of the first trimaster

Taxes: Imposition of a Value Added Tax to fund a strong social welfare system as well as an increase in the gasoline tax.
