How do the SC racism scandals affect Ben Carson's chances?

If this kind of stuff stays in the news, with this reignited talk about the confederate flag, I could see a lot of white guilt votes from conservatives to try and show how not-racist South Carolina is.

It would not surprise me to see him take the lead in the polls there now.

No. All of the "I'm not racist, I supported Herman Cain" Republicans were already behind Carson.

Astonishingly, Carson the only Republican to acknowledge the murderer was racist so far.

I'm curious to see how it affects Jeb who ordered the flag removed from government buildings. If it doesn't hurt him, I'll be far more encouraged than if Carson does well.
