An undeniable HP, although a far more interesting figure than, say, Wilders.

Fortuyn reminds me a former coworker of mine; he's a very progressive type of guy who post things on social media  like how Obama is controlled by corporations and once complained to our supervisor about the lack of racial intergration in the United States. He is also openly homosexual and very anti-religious.

A few years ago, we ran into a situation with some sort of activist who introduced us her Pakistani? friends. I don't recall the exactly road of the conversation (it was a few years ago) but I do remember it ended with "If I were go to those types of (Muslim) countries, I would probably be lynched on the spot!". He abruptly ended it and left with a very sour face. He's no longer my coworker but I'm glad to have learned a bit about homosexuality from him.

Going back to me and Pim Fortuyn - FF (anti-clerical). His murder was probably counterproductive as it might probably 'proved' he's right and help give the rise to the likes of Wilders (who are far worse)..

I didn't like him when I was young, influenced by the media talking about the "Hollandse Haider". Anyway, I changed. We deserved the chance to get to know if he'd be valuable for us - and this chance was taken from us. He caused a revolution, which has influenced our country for the better: the Netherlands after 2002 is a fundamentally different country in terms of politics. Fortuyn empowered the people who were silenced; we would be pretty much like Sweden without him. He was an opportunist and a flawed personality, but he was sharp as a knife when it comes uncovering the elitism of the political cartel, and that's what the country needed. I'm very grateful for his heritage and I'll vote FF.

Even though it's considered "common knowledge" among Dutch people that he did, this article (in Dutch) somewhat nuances that, stating that Fortuyn, indeed, went to gay clubs with extravagant parties and had sex with people with a "multicultural" background, but there is no evidence that these Dutch-Moroccan guys were underaged. Remarkable quote from someone in the article: "The entire multicultural society has failed, but not in the gay world."
