Internet polls tend to reach more people.  But why are they all tilled heavily toward Trump (outside of SurveyMonkey)?  Morning Consult currently had Trump like 18 points over Carson, Reuters had him 21 points over Carson.

Does the internet reached a certain population more??  What is in the design of the methodology that favor the demographic who support Trump?

I'm guessing internet respondents are more likely to get their news from the internet, which is decidedly more pro-TRUMP than TV news that has been calling him a joke and pimping Carson and Rubio.

If this is true Sanders would be beating Clinton in reuters and Morning consult.
But for the Dem, it is more inline.

Hardworking TRUMP voters can't be sitting by their phone all day for unidentified calls, but if we get an e-mail while we're relaxing at our 20-minute lunch break, I guess we might take 2 seconds off to let the world know how much we love him (but then immediately go back to trying to be just like him).

Because Trump voters are the type of idiots that respond to spam emails

So Clinton at 53% meaning she got more idiots than Sanders?

Hmm, so far no serious responses.  Including the whole Trump supporters are more hardworking >___>

No.  Sanders still has more idiots.  The real margin is more like 65-30 Clinton-Sanders.

It's just a theory of mine: Probably becaus of more young supporters (35 and below).

All of these polls use demographic weighting though.  If a poll undersamples a particular age group, then they just upweight that group so that it matches the overall universe of "Republican registered voters", or whatever they're trying to measure.  So it's presumably something more like Trump supporters of a given age, income level, education level, etc. are more likely to respond to internet polls than Carson supporters of the same age, income level, education level, etc.  Whereas the reverse is true for telephone polls.

I identify basicly two reasons:

- Supporters of populist candidates tend to be more active on the internet.

- Maybe some of his supporters don't like to stand by it publicly (or on the phone), because The Donald is a very controversal figure.

The lies of the media have intimidated many good folks into being shy about their support for Trump. One feels more anonymous taking an internet poll than they do a phone poll.
