Morocco

Have you ever been to Morocco? If yes, where did you go? How was your experience?

I was there in the spring of this year. I visited Casablanca, Rabat, and Marrakesh, and I liked the country very much (will elaborate on this later). I'm considering going back in January for a long weekend (flights from the Netherlands are really cheap and prices in Morocco are also low), this time to Fes and Meknès. Any tips?

In college I went to Tangier and Fes. Fes was fantastic. The Arab quarter was like a town right out of the Middle Ages, with guild quarters, and winding streets too narrow for most vehicular traffic.

I haven't, my parents visited it around 10 years ago, and they hated every moment they were in country, of course that was because of cultural differences, which made their interaction with Moroccans an unpleasant experience.
