When the polls close, that is.

I'm guessing that Sanders will immediately be announced as the projected winner.

I have a weird feeling that while Trump will be characterized as leading, they won't be able to project him as the winner.

Same as you, basically. Even if Trump is leading comfortably in the exit poll, they're going to be more cautious after Iowa.

Remember, with NH, the poll closings are staggered. So while the networks can't characterize the race until 8 ET, results will start coming in shortly after 7 ET. This should allow immediate calls (8 ET) on both sides.
