Kasich's 'surge' from NH is nearly nonexistent. This forum has ALWAYS given Kasich more credit than he deserves. If it weren't for the media, he would stay at 3% nationally. Bush at least had established ground long before John Kasich decided to focus on it last week after living in New Hampshire for months and months, and Rubio is popular enough with conservatives not to slip down to single digits despite his gaffe. South Carolina is not a state of people who are looking for someone who will compromise with the Democrats and show optimism, that's the kind of stuff that works in New England, not the south or anywhere else.

Realistically either 4th or 5th but a lot depends on tonight's debate. The latest polls show him well within 3rd and, if Cruz's numbers drop, even 2nd. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and voted 2nd!
