He doesn't follow American politics very much, but funnily enough a lot of his reactions were conventional wisdom. I got him to watch it out of the promise that it was extremely entertaining.

"Is that Herman Cain's son?" (About Ben Carson)
"He is so scripted and phony, and why are his ears so huge? I can't unsee it" (Marco Rubio)
"This guy has the ugliest f**king face I've ever seen, I want to punch him." (Ted Cruz)
"This is only funny when Trump talks"
"Out of the three in the middle Trump seems like the best choice"
"In a sane country, the guy on the end would be president"
"Why are they bashing Obama so much? He's not even running."
"I just mute it whenever the black guy and the guy on the other end start talking, they're so boring"
"Our debates are so boring compared to this, they're always 100% serious"

His preferred candidates in order: Kasich > Trump > Carson (for the lulz) > Rubio > Cruz

For me Cruz looks like Boy George or transexual.

And American debates are stupid, they are just shouting at each other and telling irrelevant stuff, ad personam arguments etc. Disgusting.
