African-Americans have been overpromised by politicians before. They're used to big promises that aren't delivered. They, more than anyone, buy the "pragmatic/incremental" approach.

Hillary is the more grounded one, while Bernie is the one with the big "pie in the sky" ideas.

She has also been developing relations with them for years.

She has also shown grit and determination, showing she can pick herself up after falling.

And honestly, with Sanders campaign giving things like "how to talk to black people" presentations, and Sanders himself saying this weekend that black people are ghetto and white people aren't... it shows a racial blind spot. Sanders wants everything to boil down to the economic theory, that really everything is about class. African-Americans strongly disagree with that, by large.

Hillary's Syria policies are most definitely not grounded in reality. No one sane can think that if there's a 3 way war between Assad, Al Qaeda, and ISIS that it's a good idea to try to regime change Assad.

I'm sure if blacks found out about it then they'd abandon Hillary for Bernie in a heartbeat.
But you see, those poor morons don't have TV or internet at the ghettos.

One comparison that I'd like to see is foreign-born and second-generation black voters  vs. others, although I'm not sure whether any precincts to date have had a large enough portion of the former to make inferences about their voting habits in Democratic primaries.

I don't know, but that particular non-sequitur had nothing to do with African-Americans. At all.

I heard somebody say recently that it's more Hillary's strength than Bernie's weakness. I would have to agree with it.

But YOU, my friend, were the one who brought up African Americans.
