The all caps thing is rather bizarre since some people who don't even pretend to like Trump do it here. But still it's pretty creepy sort of, you don't see even the most die-hard hacks on the Dem side talking about SANDERS or HILLARY (or even worse something like SANDERS or HILLARY) But honestly as much as I love John Oliver, the Drumpf thing is also pretty dumb and shallow. It kind of reminds me of J. J.'s cringeworthy nicknames.

None of them really annoy me, though. But I find all of them a bit silly.

It's fascinating, though, how Trump generates so many strong opinions from people, with his unorthodox opinions and even more unorthodox persona (he's an uber-rich guy literally named "Trump" with abnormal hair who wants Mexico to pay for a US construction project, insults everyone in sight, and reassured voters, on national TV, that he has a large penis--and he's the Republican frontrunner!). We've really never seen anything like him. Which, I suppose, is why people decide to give him different names, as they figure just referring to him by his normal name simply doesn't do The Donald justice.

Option 2. TRUMP is amusing because it makes fun of Donald Trump's marketing, which is totally fair game. "Drumpf" just makes fun of his family's historical surname, which is not insightful satire at all.
