I would go that far. We have to get people vaccinated, at all costs, otherwise the pandemic won't end.

I agree. I think that it was very premature to get rid of mask mandates. Still, I am going to wear a mask in public probably for the rest of my life.

I still go out an about and travel to different areas and events, but do so triple masking. I think that strict mask mandates would have made the lockdowns unnecessary to begin with and overall were a better policy than lockdowns.

I usually wear an KN95 in addition to two of the medical style masks over and underneath it and a pair of goggles when I am in high traffic areas. I would rather wear PPE such as masks and goggles than contract one of the bad variants of COVID and die.

Where in Asia masks were viewed as a pragmatic preventative measure, I think in America they've acquired a weird symbolic significance. I had a friend taking an exam in America who told me that if the mask slips below your nose more than two times, you're kicked out of the exam. Enforcement was never that absurd here. It feels to me like moralized authoritarianism for its own sake with no real pragmatic end.

Probably like 10 is the record. Masks as a low cost measure that could have prevented all of the lockdowns and instability caused by the pandemic if mask mandates were strictly enforced from the beginning.

There is still a 5-10% chance that you can get COVID even if you are vaccinated, so I am still going to mask up for the foreseeable future. Also, the masks prevent people from spreading COVID, so wearing a mask both protects me from variants and other people around me who are either anti-vaxxers or can’t get the vaccine for medical reasons.

You gotta do what you gotta do to help win the war against COVID. I also feel that people who refuse to wear masks should be denied medical treatment if they contract COVID and require hospitalization.

You only do that if you have a compromised immune system that requires it -and what a miserable life that has to be.
