For the April 24 Presidential election:

Also: I will definitely vote for Griss now.

She might have some flaws (no candidate's perfect of course), but Van der Bellen's democratic hostility (=> not swearing in a party even if it gets 50%+ of seats) is annoying. I would vote for him in a runoff against Hofer (FPÖ) though.

My mum will definitely vote for Hofer in both rounds, she said. My brothers are unlikely to vote, they said. My sister votes Hundstorfer. My co-workers and friends are all split: some are not voting, some are voting Hofer, basically nobody votes for Lugner. There might be a few shy Hundstorfer/Khol/Griss/Van der Bellen voters among them, but many don't seem interested in this election ...

I have meanwhile also talked with my boss and he's voting for Hofer (FPÖ).

Most of my friends, even the ones who aren't voting, support Bernie. lol. One guy supports Trump, and one girl supports Kasich. My boyfriend is undecided but leaning Bernie. I've been working hard to convert him. My mom and stepdad are voting Hillary.

Most of my friends were Hillary shills from the get-go. Three were Webb supporters like me. Fella on my debate team was a Lessig supporter. Handful of Cruz and Trump supporters. The president of my school's libertarian party is a Petersen supporter.

My parents, who've always been relatively moderate (HATED Huckabee and Santorum and supported McCain, Rudy and Romney in the past couple primaries), have reached the point where they'll vote for the Republican no matter what.  My mom hates Hillary with a passion and thinks she's a legitimately terrible person, and both my parents see Sanders as absurdly far out of the mainstream.  They said if they're going to make it to the polls to vote GOP for local stuff, they might as well try to keep a Democrat out of the White House, even if the Republican sucks (and they're certainly not fans of Trump or Cruz).

What would possibly bring them out of that?

It sounds like they need a bad nominee for statewide office in a Presidential year as well as a bad Presidential nominee. Do you think Cruz and Walsh in 2020 would do anything?
