I just find this all hilarious to be honest. I can see why they would be supporting Clinton over Trump. I still am somewhat surprised it's actually happening.

It's depressing, but it's not ironic.

Nope it's all apart of the same group of cronies. Bushes and Clintons forever.

I find it more nauseating than ironic.

If the neocons want to vote for Hillary because they believe she is a fellow neocon, then I'm totally cool with that. But Hillary Clinton is not a neocon.

The Bush people lived in a world of rational geopolitical strategic thinking, and within that world they had the wrong set of principles and decision-making guidelines, and that led them to make some critical mistakes that brought our foreign policy to where it was in 2009.  Hillary lives in that same world and shares the same set of understandings with them, even if she doesn't share their principles and guidelines.  Trump does not live in that world, he lives in a fantasy world with completely different rules and understanding, based entirely on his intuition and imagination rather than the centuries of academic research and learning from history that current geopolitical strategic thinking is based on.  That he happens to agree with some of their conclusions is just a coincidence (or, more accurately, a political decision that he can't explain in any other way).  The smart ones (not Rumsfeld) understand that and therefore they support Hillary.

Trump winning or losing at this point is irrelevant.  This election has exposed the crooked rigged system and the people who vote for that system.

The fact that more Republican officials prefer to support TRUMP rather than Hillary says more about them than about her.

That they respect their voters.    Yeah, I know that's such a awful thing to do these days.
