Maybe he could in some southern state that Sanders completely bombed out in like Mississippi? That might even be tough though. He certainly won't even come close to his percentage in any state up north or out west.

Sanders did decently enough with blacks in states like MI. Trump doesn't have a prayer.

In the deep south (AL, MS, SC, etc.) Hillary Clinton blew Bernie out of the water like 90-10, still don't think Trump will do better though.

I doubt it. Sanders got 11% of the black vote in Mississippi, which I'm guessing was his lowest anywhere. I don't think Trump can crack 11% in any state. By contrast, McCain got 2% in Mississippi. He also got 2% in Texas.

Edit: Actually, nevermind. Apparently he only got 6% in Alabama. Still, I doubt it happens, since McCain got 2% in Alabama. Trump could plausibly beat 6% in a different state though. I wonder why AL blacks were even more heavily pro-Clinton than MS blacks. It could just be exit poll MoE though.

Sanders got 15% of the black vote against Clinton in Texas. Romney got 6% in 2012 versus Obama and McCain only got 2%, so that one seems out of the question.

Yeah, Romney got 4% in 2012, so Alabama could be Trump's best shot. Arkansas might be another possibility. Sanders only got 9% of the black vote there. McCain got 5% in 2008 but apparently they didn't even bother to do an exit poll for the 2012 general election in the state. Louisiana has potential as well I'd imagine but we'll never quite know for sure because they didn't do an exit poll for the Clinton-Sanders primary.

No. Little Donny's "great relationship" with blacks only exists inside his own head.

I think it's likely that Trump does best with blacks in the same states that Bernie also did best with blacks (e.g. Michigan). But Southern blacks are more partisan/polarized.

So ultimately it's very unlikely.
