While there is no public process to remove a House member, I urge representatives to bring forth articles of expulsion against Representative evergreen. Representative evergreen has not posted on the forum since August 1st. She has not posted in Atlasia since July 30th, and did not log in to vote for her own campaign.

The Labor Party prided itself as the party of activity and mislead voters by promoting their five active candidates, pushing to get evergreen elected over candidates who were far more active, such as Shua. The Labor Party was so focused on attacking Federalists on activity that they failed to look at their own. I urge Laborites in the House to do the right thing and replace evergreen with someone who is able to do their job. I find it worrisome that evergreen hasn't posted in over a month, and hope all is well in her personal life.

For reference, here are the rules for expulsion in the House:

Please join me in calling on Federalist AND Labor representatives in the House to begin this process.

Don't turn this into a party issue.

There's crap activity and no activity. As many people in the party know, and as many others have done we've been messaging people, getting policy proposals done, actually running a national campaign etc. People in my own party know what I've done for activities sake.

The federalists caucus in the first term for the House deserved to get voted out.

There's a clear difference between posting on other boards (and not getting involved here) and flat out not posting. There's nothing the Labor Party, or myself can do to force people to post on Atlasia. If god forbid something happened to me tomorrow they'd be no-way of anyone finding out/getting in contact with me

I sent a week notice, and yesterday I sent a 24-hour notice to her with the threat of pushing her resignation. As it has been that 24-hours I strongly recommend her resignation.

I second what Senator Blair said and ask you do not make this a partisan issue. We are doing the correct process and I promise to completely keep my commitment to activity. At that point, evergreen was still an active member and had shown her commitment to Atlasia, not until it was close to the elections did evergreen completely drop off the map. We stood by her because she has been a ver prominent member and has stood by the Atlasian people time and time again.

You're the one who has made this a party issue. There were Federalists AND Laborites in the last Congress who did not deserve to win re-election. I said that I would stand up to inactivity on all sides, and my vote reflected that. You did a good job at making activity a key issue in the campaign, as it should always be, but the final outcome did not entirely reflect that.

Sure, it's a little more crappy when someone is choosing to stay on the site but not be involved in Atlasia, but when you're trying to run a Congress and need 15 active legislators, both provide the same level of results - nada. And bottomline, we can't have legislators who don't pull their weight.

You're right, there is nothing you can do about that...except maybe not vote for them? Huh If I had dropped off the face of Atlasia at the start of August, I would not expect to come back in September and see that I won another term for my Senate seat. There's something wrong when that happens.

Inactivity isn't a party issue - it's a nonpartisan issue that should be taken seriously at all times. I'm glad to see House members on both sides taking action and I am confident that Senator/Chair Blair will find a replacement for evergreen who is capable and active.

While I am not a member of Congress, this kind of behavior is absolutely unacceptable. This should not be a cause for partisan controversy: when an officeholder fails to do their job, they deserve to get fired, period. I'm glad to see that the majority of the Labor Congressional Caucus has endorsed this effort, and I am confident that Representative Evergreen will be unanimously expelled and quickly replaced by an active and capable public servant.

Interesting to notice that the House of representatives basically took exactly the rules I wrote for the senate now 2 years ago Tongue

While I certainly do not want to condone this type of behavior, I find it completely unacceptable  that this has been made into a partisan issue. I would like to echo what Blair said. Yes, Atlasia has been facing somewhat of an activity crisis in the last little while, however Labor is far from the sole contributor to this issue. While I fully support expelling evergreen from the House, I personally would like a commitment from each Opposition caucus members that they will strive to be active legislatures or do the right thing and resign so a more active individual can take their place.

I'm not at all opposed to expelling Evergreen; but rather it being used as some sort of attack on Labor.

Yeah, I basically rewrote the Senate rules and switched "Senate" with "House" and "PPT" with "Speaker" and that is what they passed. Plan to work on some changes this upcoming session with a couple folks!

Yes, Atlasia has been facing somewhat of an activity crisis in the last little while, however Labor is far from the sole contributor to this issue.
No one ever said they were, in fact, Federalists have definitely contributed more to the inactivity than Laborites. I called out Federalists on it and I have refused to preference Federalists who don't have a strong activity record. I'm simply pointing out the hypocrisy in slamming Federalists for activity, then voting in someone who hasn't posted in a month. Like I said weeks ago, I'm ready to name names if that is what it takes to get people serious and committed to only electing active people. Truman did it in the North and I think it worked out great - we definitely started moving in the right direction with the August elections and I look forward to continued progression. Smiley Thank you for introducing the articles, Representative 118AZ!

I encourage other representatives to go co-sponsor what Representative 118AZ introduced. It needs four more: https://uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=239138.msg5247379#msg5247379

Not a representative in the House, but signed anyway.
