He just can't see the need to, given he's been saying stupid things and won the Republican nomination-HIM, when the pundits and 'experts' wrote him off. Plus, he probably lacks the ability to rein himself in anyway. We'll see if Trump or Nate Silver and the pundits have the last laugh.

I'd say he has pivoted somewhat on policy like offering up a minimum wage and talking about LGBT. This is asking whether or not his attitude will pivot, and the answer is probably not. Not just because it's Trump, but I don't recall another Presidential candidate who tried to alter their personality (not the issues) between primary and general.
