In order to win a bare majority (or "majority"), the Democrats need to either win (aside from CA) at least 13 seats and the vice-presidency, or at least 14 seats without the vice-presidency. I listed the Democratic candidates in each state but you can also base your decisions on how much you hate each Republican. Also you can ignore realism; you can have Chuck Schumer and Mike Lee both losing if you want.

If I get around to it I'll make a similar poll for the Republicans.

Why am I the only one who hates Rand enough to vote Kentucky?

Voted Colorado/Connecticut/Hawaii/Iowa/Maryland/Nevada/NH/NC/Ohio/PA/VT/Washington/Wisconsin/Kaine.

Some swing states and some blue states, with the blue states serving to keep the Democratic Party on the left. Feingold is sacred, a Hawaii GOP Senator would become entrenched, and I want Grassley gone. No NY because I want to punish Schumer for voting against the Iran Deal.

I almost included Florida, and in retrospect I probably should have, but on the other hand I like seeing Rubio embarrass himself

Colorado (Bennet)
Connecticut (Blumenthal)
Hawaii (Schatz)
Maryland (Van Hollen)
Missouri (Kander)
New York (Schumer)
North Carolina (Ross)
Oregon (Wyden)
Pennsylvania (McGinty)
Utah (Snow)
Vermont (Leahy)
Washington (Murray)
Wisconsin (Feingold)
The vice-presidency (Kaine)

All but Utah are realistic. Mike Lee is one of the furthest right and most obstructionist in the Senate and Misty Snow is quite left-wing and is transgender. Did not include: Illinois (Kirk's not terrible), Indiana (not a fan of Bayh but am glad he's running and would vote for him), New Hampshire (Ayotte's right-wing for New England but not nationally).

Lol at the 10 Dems who did not vote for the vice-presidency.

Speaking as a GOP-leaner answering the converse question, the four GOP incumbents I would most like to see lose are Murkowski, McCain, Kirk, and Ayotte (even if the latter two are somehow running against people even more atrocious than themselves), although I would rather replace Murkowski with Miller. I would be okay with sacrificing Blunt and Todd Young in exchange for Glenn and Long (to knock out Schumer)

Ideal Bare GOP Majority:
Pickups: Glenn (CO), Long (NY), Pence (VP)
Losses: Miller (AK), Kirkpatrick (AZ), Duckworth (IL), Hassan (NH), Kander (MO), Bayh (IN)

Wowie someone who hates Rand Paul? I am wearing my Rand Paul hoodie right now, it's 92 degrees here for context.

shouldn't every Democrat be voting for the Vice Presidency? Can't imagine wanting to have 51-49 edge but have President Trump over a 50/50 Senate, plus having Clinton/Kaine in.
