Karl Rove may have broken the law by intentionally revealing the identity of a CIA agent during a time of war.

Well, not really.  It has to be more than revealing the name of a CIA agent.  I read in Who's Who that one of Bill Buckley's children was a CIA agent for a while, but had left the Agency by the time of printing.  A lawyer, who repesented me in a civil matter, was introduced to me by his law partner as "being ex-CIA."  It makes a difference it the CIA employee is a covert agent and if the person saying so knows that she is a covert agent.  And the CIA has to be "actively" trying to keep the person undercover.

We don't know if Ms. Plame was a covert agent; her husband (on CNN) said that she wasn't at the time of the leak.  We do have some idea, from the reporter's notes, that Rove didn't know if she was covert either.  Some things that I've read suggest that a person isn't considered "covert" unless they have been stationed out of the country within the last five years.  We don't know if she was.

Valid point.  But that is why I said Karl Rove MAY have broken the law.  Regardless, Bush DID say he would fire whomever did not.  If we find out it was Rove and he stays on I'd say that is a pretty serious flip-flop, wouldn't you?

And this is worse then Clinton selling missles to the Chinese how?

I've often wondered, if this story was true, why didn't the Republicans impeach him over THAT, rather than  a blowjob? Shows they have their priorities pretty messed up.

The missles didn't have DNA.

Hmm ... but to transfer missiles takes dozens of individuals (and therefore dozens of witnesses).  If Lewinsky had decided not to cooperate then the whole "blowjob" case would have completely fallen apart.

Honestly guys, when you start yelling "Clinton sold missiles to China" you really do just sound like you're wearing tin foil hats.

Please take note that I'm not one of "you guys."  My posts should indicate that I actually need proof of things (that applies to Democrats and Republicans).

Many people said that Clinton should have been impeached for loosening the rules so a top donor could make a fortune selling missile technology to China.

Veering off the original topic a bit here aren't we?

Loosening rules is a far cry from "selling missiles to China".  Short-sighted and stupid, but not treasonable.  Personally I think it is akin to giving Stinger missiles to guys like Osama Bin Laden (Reagan administration).

Some raghead in the mountains of Afghanistan w/stinger missles isn't as serious as a threat as China with nuclear tipped missles.

See, I posted evidence from a highly credible source.  You post allegations with no evidence.

Understand the difference?
