I had to this morning for the first time in my life on a referral from the dentist I'm seeing although thankfully she determined that a root canal retreatment is likely not necessary on the tooth I have unless pain returns. I'll have to get the crown replaced which of course isn't cheap either but there's enough in my HSA because my work makes free deposits every quarter to cover that with insurance.

Also there's apparently only 8 in the Twin Cities area? Talk about a rare and valuable job.

Yes, I've had a root canal at a dentist, and a root canal at an endodontist.  The endodontist was a much better experience, I suppose because they specialize in it and know how to make it go smoothly.

I admit that I had to look up what that even is. First checked the translator just to realize that I never heard of the German word, which is almost identical, either. So obviously No.

my dentist told me I was close last time.  He did a traditional filling and told me to come back if it hurts.  It doesn't hurt enough for me to call him back.
