What's the fewest number of counties a presidential candidate won your state with?

It will have to be 1 if it can beat Nevada in 1992 and 1996.

Ohh.

Data going back to 1892, eleven of 39 in 2000 (Cowlitz, Grays Harbor, Jefferson, King, Kitsap, Mason, Pacific, Pierce, San Juan, Snohomish, and Thurston) was the least number.

Washington was never really all that geographically polarized before 2000, and several Dem-trending counties (Island, Skagit, and maybe in a longshot Clallam, Skamania, or Whitman) mean 2000 will probably be the record unless elections get closer.

As proved by the Gregoire thing, the theoretical answer is probably around 4-6.
