Daily Column emphasizing the terrible events caused daily by the Philly Plan. Had a thunderstorm tonight? Noticed your councillor calling for a Peanut Dictatorship? Couldn't quite do as many pullups as you could before? Chances are the Philly Plan had something to do with it.

First issue to be released tomorrow.

This has already passed, most of the opposition comes from outside of Lincoln, also what do thunderstorms have to do with the Councik, and who wants to turn the governorship into a dictatorship. These seem like absurd accusations

God must be expressing his wrath at Lincoln. This is clearly the only logical explanation for this.

And here we go.

Just a summary:

> Region is failing
> Group of users introduce a reform idea that is mostly government restructuring and proclaim it a panacea for the region's problems
> Reform idea is passed
> Reform doesn't instantly solve the region's problems as promised (even if better than before)
> Reform blamed for the region's problems

Today's Danger: Terrible Legislative Writing

The Election of SJNC was made possible by the philly plan - the expansion of the assembly to a 9 seat body enables less-proficient legislators who would never be able to make it in under the old system in which only 3 or 5 members were typically elected. And SJNC's legislative ideas are terrible. Just look at the bill currently under consideration:

https://uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=319624.0

This plan charges an insane road toll of .75/mile for trips from Philly to Buffalo. Under this legislation, a one way trip in this manner would cost $285 in TOLLS ALONE. Add in Gas, maybe stopping to eat on the road given it's a 380 mile journey, etc. and this trip starts to cost a small fortune.

Other routes would have even higher tolls, some charging $1.25 per mile. 25 dollars to travel 20 miles? This is beyond insane.

---------

The Philly plan enabled the existence of this terrible legislation. While it will likely fail, it should not even exist, and probably wouldn't without the Philly Plan.

LINCOLNITES, PM YOUR LEGISLATORS AND TELL THEM TO IMMEDIATELY BEGIN REPEALING THE PHILADELPHIA PLAN, SO WE CAN RETURN TO THE GOOD OLD LINCOLN ASSEMBLY!!!!

Imagine thinking the Lincoln Assembly was a good or successful system.

At least I did not try to ban McDonald's, without even considering that Burger King and Wendy's, serve the same role

SNJC being elected and having terrible ideas and the Philly Plan have nothing to do with each other.

The Philadelphia plan has not made Lincoln a dictatorship as far as I know. If you want to get rid of SNJC, you can either recall him (which I would definitely NOT support) or defeat him at the next election. In the mean time, he is a member of the Council.

In fact, I'd argue that the fact that Lincoln currently has a 9 member council is proof that the plan is working and Lincoln is back on track. In the old Lincoln Assembly we would have been lucky to have 5 legislators. We now have 9.
