This was definitely allowed to slip by on purpose.

Was gonna post this.

They can Sessions then can Mueller

The only remotely acceptable follow-up to the above would be canning Trump and then Pence.

And if the GOP doesn't hurry up and do that, the only result - assuming a semi-competent DNC- will eventually be President Pelosi instead of President Ryan. (Pelosi is kind of old. Perhaps she could appoint as VP some senior Democratic Party figure who isn't currently service, but who has the requisite experience to get past the Senate, and then resign herself.)

Imagine the Republican outrage.

Again I have Pete on block but I just know he's trolling based on his back to back posts. Let me guess he called the WaPo "Jeff Bezos blog"

Yep.

The AG is being set up by Team Trump. Watch Trump allies continue to leak against him to justify his firing so Trump can then fire Mueller.

This is literally insane, and Congress is letting him get away with it.

This is interesting and well worth a read.  It's been widely contended that a sitting President can't be indicted while in office.  But during the investigation of Bill Clinton, a member of Ken Starr's team produced a legal opinion that it can be done...and other members of Starr's team drafted an indictment of Clinton.

The article later mentions that similar opinions had been generated by the staff of Leon Jaworski, the Watergate special counsel.
