It is a fact that Cheney receives a fixed pension. I'm sorry that doesn't go over well with your paranoid delusions.

Supersoulty, it's definitely a good thing that your mother didn't abort you. I agree with most of what you wrote; it's impossible to say exactly how any unborn child will turn out (no matter what the situation of his/her parents is), and for people to insist that some aren't deserving of a chance to live is low. Obviously, since many teenage/younger single mothers aren't generally good parents, it would have been easy for others to say that she should have just aborted you because you would have turned out badly. But you turned out otherwise, and that's a relief, considering how many kids of single moms don't turn out well.

Well, let me start off by saying that this is not a theoretical issue for me.  First, my mother was 18 and unmarried when she became pregnant with me.

I admire you for sharing that.  I think the world is a better place for your existence.  In this case, your mother made the right choice, and I can tell she made many other right choices, but  I still don't think the government should ever prohibit the procedure.

Does that include killing the kid a few days before it's born?

Yeah, so the company Cheney used to work for gets a contract. How does he benefit from this exactly? What about Bush? Rumsfeld?

Please, don't admir me too much.  I always used to tell people that my mother is 3 years older than she acctually is, so that I wouldn't have to face their looks and taunts.  This is esspecially so when I was with people at private school, since they all came from "respectable" affluent families.  Sad   I don't do that anymore and I am ashamed that I ever did.

Kinda like if all these people who are against the war could meet up with the people in the mass graves.
And it's a shame you can't meet all those who died in the war and say, "You needed to die so that we could take over a country that didn't do anything to us." or "Well, I'm sorry you didn't have the proper armor, but you might have died anyway."

Wow, excellent point!

Actually its not.  Its a red herring.  We were debating abortion, and SoS brings Iraq into the picutre when Iraq is in no way related to abortion.  The only reason to bring Iraq in is to make Supersoulty look like a hypocrite.  Now Supersoulty may or may not be a hypocrite (I happen to think he's not) but his being or not being a hypocrite is irrelevant to whether he is right or not on this particular issue.

Please address the issue at hand and only the issue at hand.

So no, its actuall not a ver good point at all.

I'm wondering if you clowns would have said the same thing about Afghanistan in 2000. Hey, they didn't do anything to us.

This is of course assuming he's right that Iraq did nothing to us, which isn't true.  It also assumes that you'd have to harm only the US to justify a US led war, which I don't believe is true either.
