Why does President Bush keep trying to confuse the issue by tieing the war on terror with the war in Iraq? Is that the only tune that he knows?

With all due respect Mr. President, Saddam and Osama been forgotten are two different people.

2003: I was a bit hazy on the whole thing. At first, I thought we were going there because Osama and Saddam had worked together on 9-11. I half-heartedly supported it, but I still thought we should focus solely on capturing Bin Laden.

2006: Now I pretty much think the Iraq War is a meaningless, all-out waste of life, resources, and time. It's clear that we cannot force democracy on people, and we are destabilizing the region by trying to do so. I say we should get out ASAP.

No way/in the middle

I never supported attacking Iraq. I paid very close attention to everything the president and his administration said. To me it was clear they were going in on nothing more then a hunch. One does not risk the lives of our military and innocent civilians on a hunch.

Now that we are there I would like to see Iraq slightly more stable before we redeploy. And if that doesn't happen soon it's time to redeploy anyhoooo. Iraq has to want this more then we do and I don't think they do. We cannot sustain this much longer. Our military resources are being drained. That weakens our own Natinal Security. China and Russia are loving it.
