Well, I woke up at 4am this morning and watched an hour of the BBC coverage, which was reasonable, but not brilliant.

So the Democrats have taken back the House. I congratulate Speaker Pelosi and wish her all the best. However, don't just launch investigations. Do something else as well.

Post election analysis will follow once VA and MT are clear.

Some things I noticed from the CNN House national exit poll (Which seems to have been slightly too Democratic):
* There was a massive swing among Latinos- 15%. Probably contributed to a couple of defeats.
* The Republicans narrowly won the white vote.
* Protestants went Republican, Catholics narrowly Democrat.
* This was a surprise- African-Americans barely moved from 2004. The GOP got 11%.
