Richardson. Huckabee, despite winning a straw poll, still has no money.

I'd say dead even. They both have great potential, but Huckabee is slightly more likely, due to the open feild on his side.

I'm going to agree with you on this. They are both the major dark horses worthy of watching on their respective sides.

Huckabee is certainly a better debator though.

I would say Mike Huckabee. Huckabee is a more welcoming candidate for the Presidency of the United States than the nervous Bill Richardson. Though Huckabee is quite conservative, I believe he would have the same Arkansas charm that Bill Clinton brought with him in '92.

I think both candidates are seriously underrated by pundits.  However social conservatives (especially 'religious right' types) remain a sizable chunk of the GOP.   That gives Huckabee a stronger shot - especially if he can knock out the other social/religious conservatives early and become their standard bearer.

Huckabee, if only because there's more dissatisfaction amongst Republicans for their current Top 3 than amongst Democrats for theirs.

Richardson used to be a fave of mine but he has not really been that impressive as a candidate. Huckabee has a better chance I think. He is a good candidate...but that not believing in evolution thing really bugs me. I can respect faith, but when it clouds reason it makes you wonder about someone's judgement...that is kind of how we got into this mess in iraq....it was a faith based war against all reason. That being said he seems like a really nice guy and not your fire breathing bible thumping type.

Huckabee, because he can give a clear easy-to-get reason for why primary voters should pick him, whereas Richardson cannot. And I like Richardson.
