Congressman John McHugh (R) debunked rumors he was planning to retire. Instead, McHugh announced he plans to seek re-election next year. "I have never at any time told anyone I was thinking of retiring ... My campaign is going forward on those matters necessary to wage another successful effort and when the time comes, we will be ready," said McHugh.

That's a shame; on paper his seat is better for the Democrats than several they hold in NY already.
