Ugh, no.

A total misunderstanding of Obama's base, politics, everything.

I think Obama is more like what Bobby Kennedy might have been.

No.

Obama didn't have a Scream Speech to begin with. Likewise with him way out in front around June 2007 (In Dean's case June 2003). And many more examples.

That'd be one of the bugs. The fatal one that crashed the system actually.

no, Obama's not a hot-head, plus he has much wider appeal.

Anyone who thinks the support for Obama and Dean are comparable has clearly not spent 5 minutes in a high school or college in America during the past year.

No, Obama is not a single-issue candidate. His support is based on hope, not anger.

There is some truth in it but for the most part it's false. Wasn't it Chuck Todd who said this today?

Chuck Todd is smarter than most of the Teevee pundits, but this just isn't true.

No

Dean was a candidate of the left, Obama cant be pigeon-hold in the same way... Dean was from the McCarthy, Brown school of candidate and his campaign reflected this.

Obama is a different type of candidate altogether, with a much broader base of support and a political narative which defies ratehr than reforces easy characterisation.

That said, Dean didnt 'have' to be the Left candidate, a socially liberal, anti-War, fiscally conservative governor could have done much better and been a far more interesting candidate than the conventional, left/liberal insurgent he became from the summer of '03.

If Dean had run as that candidate he would never have got off of the ground in the first place.

Been more interesting and more plausable though... a candidate like that in the '04 fied might have done better than you think, it was the anti-War tag that propelled him into frontrunner status... he didnt have to undermine that with a leftist wet dream of a platform.
