I'm really the same online as I am offline. I'm arrogant, loud, an asshole, sarcastic, partisan, yet I'm also caring, loving, protective and friendly to people I truly like. I'll be the best friend you could ever have when I am on your side and I'll defend you till the end. If I don't like someone, they probably know it. I can also insult people without them even knowing it. It works for some people and I also make a lot of enemies, but I don't take crap from anyone. I guess that's why on this forum I have people that like me and a lot that hate me. But I can put on a friendly face when needed. I can make great impressions among the adults in this world (people older than I am).

I'm generally very quiet and quite shy, I don't like change, I can be quite fatalistic about just about anything, while I'm generally polite I can be VERY rude to people (and things) that I don't like, I tend not to ask for help until its almost too late, I have a dreadful habit of sticking my hand in front of my mouth when I talk (don't do that so much now), I sometimes work myself too hard despite being ill, to some extent, all the time (resulting in not being able to do anything for days...), I hold grudges, I can get very, very angry about some things... and so on and so forth. Some stuff that I won't add here.

On the other hand, I can't lie very well (so tend not to, especially in reallife) and I generally try to be a decent person. I also don't like anything that looks like it might be bragging so I won't say anymore about what might be seen as good things either.

EDIT: I also like silly little things, like bad ties, milk-jugs and so on.

Online

Bad:  I'm a jerk.  If people rub me the wrong way, I take it way too far.  I can get very sarcastic where people think I'm just insulting them.  I'm lazy and don't take the time to look things up.. lest I get side tracked for hours.. so I tend to debate off the top of my head, which can be quite bad.  I'm too proud of Minnesota.

Good:  I'm empathetic to people I don't know.  One way to get on my good side is to make me feel bad for you.. then I feel like I have to claw your enemies in the face for you.  I guess that's more of a bad thing than a good thing.

Offline:

Bad:  I'm overly empathetic to people outside of my family and loved ones and too apathetic where family and friends are concerned.  I go way out of my way to sound like I agree with peoples gripes and to avoid confrontation.  When I finally get fed up and confront people, I can be over the top.

Good:  I am very caring.  I stand up for people that are being picked on, even if I don't agree with the person being picked on.  I'm a very fast learner and I have an excellent memory.

What does that even mean? Does it mean you dress like a pre-civil war person? Are you not a preppy douche like me?

Civil, World or Cold?

World War II.

There are some exceptions...movies continued to be pretty good until the 50s, though I think that nothing beats 30s and 40s cinema.  But music, (especially) visual art, to a lesser extent literature...definitely of less value, though by no means less interesting.

Speaking of literature: just finished Newt Gingrich's Pearl Harbor.   Excellent book, and I plan on picking up his new sequel, Days of Infamy.
