Personally, I'm not sure whether it's crueler to the Hopi to put them in a district with the Navajo or to put them in a district that they completely disagree with.

It wouldn't be too hard to shove the Hopi in with a Democratic district.

You mean a Navajo-less one? Because that was the reasoning - Indian Nations rely on their Congressman a lot due to some of the roundabout ways Constitutional Law on them has developped, and it would be bad to have the same guy represent two nations that for decades used to sue each other regularly.
It's not an entirely convincing argument - nevermind that back when they were suing each other they had the same representative - but it's the argument used.
Besides, exchanging Hopi for a chunk of southwest Yavapai (which would not only be far more Republican but would also cast far more votes, Hopi turnout being what it is) would make AZ-1 that much more Democratic. Tongue

NY-24, NY-25, NY-26, NY-29, PA-3, PA-12, IN-3, MO-9, VA-2, NC-8, GA-8, LA-6, TX-7 (silly me), TX-10, TX-17, TX-22, TX-23, WY-AL, AZ-1 (although I know what that looks like, actually), NV-2 would all be welcome additions to this thread. Smiley Oh, and CT-4 by town.

Providing the data so you only have to add the map:

TX-10: Austin R>40, Bastrop D>5, Burleson R>20, Harris R>30, Lee R>20, Travis D>20, Waller R>3, Washington R>30

TX-17: Bosque D>5, Brazos D>10, Burleson D>7, Grimes D>7, Hill D>10, Hood R>20, Johnson R>7, Limestone D>20, Madison D>20, McLennan D>20, Robertson D>30, Somervell R>1

NY-26: Erie R>7, Genesee R>20, Livingston R>15, Monroe R>15, Niagara R>10, Orleans R>20, Wyoming R>20

NY-29: Allegany R>10, Cattaraugus D>0, Chemung D>1, Monroe D>10, Ontario R>1, Schuyler R>7, Steuben R>15, Yates R>1

PA-3: Armstrong R>10, Butler R>3, Crawford R>15, Erie D>10, Mercer D>3, Venango R>20, Warren R>10

PA-4 (also interesting): Allegheny D>7, Beaver D>20, Butler R>10, Lawrence D>20, Mercer D>40, Westmoreland R>7

PA-6 (also interesting): Berks R>5, Chester R>10, Lehigh R>20, Montgomery D>10

Watch this space for more states.

Diolch!

PA-12:

Surprise as Murtha has an obvious personal vote in the places he's represented for decades and doesn't elsewhere.

PA-6:

Maybe if the Democrats ran someone who could win in the Berks section they might, you know...

Skipping IN-3 because it's a pretty boring map actually.

MO-9: Adair R>1, Audrain D>0, Boone D>15, Callaway R>3, Camden R>20, Clark R>1, Crawford R>5, Franklin R>3, Gasconade R>20, Knox R>10, Lewis R>7,  Macon R>7, Maries R>15, Marion R>10, Miller R>30, Monroe R>3, Montgomery R>10, Osage R>30, Pike D>1, Ralls R>0, Randolph R>3, Scotland R>7, Shelby R>10, St Charles R>15, Warren R>7

VA-2: Accomack D>1, Northampton D>15, Hampton D>5, Norfolk D>10, Virginia Beach D>1

also adding VA-1: Caroline R>3, Essex R>7, Fauquier R>20, Gloucester R>30, James City R>15, King & Queen R>3, King George R>30, Lancaster R>20, Mathews R>30, Middlesex R>20, Northumberland R>30, Prince William D>30, Richmond R>30, Spotsylvania R>10, Stafford R>15, Westmoreland R>20, York R>20, Fredericksburg D>15, Hampton D>20, Newport News R>7, Poquoson R>40, Williamsburg D>15

and VA-4: Amelia R>30, Brunswick D>5, Chesterfield R>15, Dinwiddie R>20, Greensville D>7, Isle of Wight R>30, Nottoway R>20, Powhatan R>40, Prince George R>20, Southampton R>20, Sussex R>1, Chesapeake R>20, Colonial Heights R>40, Emporia D>5, Franklin R>1, Hopewell R>7, Petersburg D>40, Suffolk R>10

NC-8: Anson D>30, Cabarrus R>10, Cumberland D>15, Hoke D>15, Mecklenburg D>40, Montgomery D>15, Richmond D>15, Scotland D>15, Stanly R>20, Union D>5

GA-8: Baldwin D>30, Ben Hill D>10, Bibb D>40, Bleckley D>10, Butts R>7, Colquitt R>7, Dodge D>15, Houston D>1, Irwin D>5, Jasper R>3, Jones D>15, Laurens D>15, Monroe D>1, Newton D>3, Pulaski D>10, Tift R>3, Turner D>15, Twiggs D>40, Wilcox D>10, Wilkinson D>30, Worth R>20

LA-6: Ascension R>30, EBR R>1, E Feliciana R>1, Iberville D>15, Livingston R>30, Pointe Coupee D>40, St Helena D>15, WBR D>10, W Feliciana R>1

WY: Albany D>15, Big Horn R>30, Campbell R>40, Carbon R>10*, Converse R>20, Crook R>30, Fremont R>7, Goshen R>20, Hot Springs R>20*, Johnson R>30, Laramie D>5, Lincoln R>30*, Natrona R>3, Niobrara R>40, Park R>30, Platte R>20*, Sheridan R>15, Sublette R>20, Sweetwater D>5, Teton D>30, Uinta R>15*, Washakie R>20, Weston R>30
I used CNN for this. Wyoming, like Mississippi and New York, hates voters. Don't ask me why I used CNN here when I used MSNBC earlier. Anyhow, this means these are rounded and the asterisked figures might actually belong one shade lighter.

AZ-1: Apache D>40, Coconino D>30, Gila D>7, Graham R>10, Greenlee D>20, Navajo D>15, Pinal D>20, Yavapai R>0

NV-2: Carson City R>10, Churchill R>30, Clark D>0, Douglas R>20, Elko R>30, Esmeralda R>40, Eureka R>40, Humboldt R>30, Lander R>40, Lincoln R>40, Lyon R>20, Mineral R>7, Nye R>15, Pershing R>20, Storey R>15, Washoe R>1, White Pine R>20
I wouldn't have noticed that Obama (very probably) carried all three Nevada districts if I hadn't done this. McCain won Nevada minus Clark by less than 3000 votes.

CT-4: Bridgeport D>60, Darien R>40, Easton D>15, Fairfield R>7, Greenwich R>10, Monroe R>10, New Canaan R>40, Norwalk D>15, Oxford R>7, Redding R>7, Ridgefield R>20, Shelton D>3, Stamford D>15, Trumbull R>7, Weston R>7, Westport R>5, Wilton R>15

While these are the officially reported figures, somehow I can't believe Hines got identical totals on the Working Families and Democratic lines in Easton. Assuming an average Dem-to-WF relation there, it's R>20. Anybody who knows CT town results will probably be able to tell which is the correct result - my notions of the district don't extend beyond the places beginning in B, D, N, or St.
