There appears for the first time in Atlasian history, to be an actual contest in the offing for the Mideast Assembly.

As a candidate, I feel I bring to the job a level of experience that few others can rival. Also, I have the distinct advantage that you can trust that I am not a sock account of some other user given how long I have been around these parts.

The day is now here - I urge all Mideasterners to go to the polls this weekend, whoever you vote for.

As a long term Mideast resident, I know the values of our Region and of our Nation. I have proven that I am independent mind - I do not bow to any party leaders and I consider myself largely independent of the JCP and RPP fracas.

In my time in the Assembly I have maintained a strong consistency of representation - there have been changes in both seats in the last 2 sessions of the Assembly, and through all of that I have stayed in post and ensured that new members were brought up to speed quickly and that Assembly business continued as best as was possible.

I hope I have earned your vote, and I pledge to continue to serve you if elected.
