Meet the Parents is a great movie.

ANH is maybe not at quite the same quality level, but it spawned a multimedia mania that has run for over 30 years, making countless billions from books, comics, video games, TV shows, and The Star Wars Holiday Special.  Meet The Parents spawned...well...Meet the Fockers, which was really, really bad.  (At least in my opinion)

ANH wins.

I'd say Meet the Parents is a top ten movie for me; A New Hope is at best the fourth best Star Wars movie.
