As the case involving the pertinent law works its way through court, I believe the Senate must act to remove the current GM. While Ebowed seemed to be making an effort, that quickly faded away. We need an active GM and we need legislation ensuring as much. While I will wait for the lawsuit to conclude before I propose new legislation, I would still like to bring the motion to oust the current GM forward.

Does anyone second the motion?

I think you should wait for the Supreme Court to make a decision...

They are taking longer than I had hoped. I understand that briefs were delayed due to Memorial Day, but the proceedings have gone on without comment or question by the justices. While I believe it is important to receive the decision, Atlasia can no longer wait with such an inactive GM.

You could, of course, remove Ebowed and pick a more active GM and save us the hassle.

I'll second it. We really need an active GM now.

Saw the thread title and thought, huh, the court must have put its ruling down...

Guess not.

You have to understand.  This has been a very busy time for certain court members, including me, IRL.  I hope to be able to get to this sometime tomorrow.

That isn't a problem, as I prefer a thoughtful decision to a quick one. But be that as it may, I think the Senate needs to take the appropriate action in the meantime.

It's been more than 48 hours, a vote must be held.

There are enough votes to have Ebowed removed. Senators now have 24 hours to change their votes.

The executive branch will continue to recognize Ebowed as GM until the Supreme Court has made a decision.

There is no need for the Senate to scapegoat Ebowed for their own shortcomings.

You have allowed an inactive GM for long enough.
